Mark Evans

Hi. I'm Mark, and I joined the Office of the Auditor-General in November 2010. I help the Auditor-General by talking to education and primary industry organisations (mostly the publicly funded ones) about their jobs and changes they are making, and by talking to our auditors about what they found in their audits. This helps the Office decide what auditing work we might do and what we might say to the Education Committee and the Primary Production Committee in Parliament. I've had roles as Private Secretary to a Minister and senior policy roles in the Ministry of Defence and the (former) Ministry of Economic Development. Once upon a time, I was a lecturer in Political Studies at the International Pacific College and the University of Waikato. I've also got a background in biological science and have done lots of other stuff.
